Environmentalism has gone mainstream and thank goodness for that. Yet, while studies report that most customers say they care about sustainability, we’re not always making purchases that align with our stated values. Whether it's because environmentally-friendly products tend to cost more, or we’re concerned that we have to compromise on performance in order to take care of the planet, there’s an inherent challenge in selling sustainable products.
Evoco is a Toronto-based bio-foam manufacturer. They’ve developed a foam insole that is made of 77% renewable plant-based material that’s better for the planet than alternative poly-fillers. Tapping into the insight that the purchase of planet-friendly products is a positive step toward changing the ultimate fate of our world - we named this innovative product Fates. In order to help tell their brand story, we designed and built them a new website, making it easy for their target audience (buyers for international footwear companies) to make the right choice for both the environment and their end consumer.
Today, Fates is charting a path to change the footwear category for good with their eco-friendly insole product, sustainable manufacturing in Asia, and new distribution deals across North America.
